Vcera byl Lukaskovi rok. Ja byla cely den v praci, takze oslava pripadla az na sobotu. A byla to mala oslava, jenom domaci - ja, Nick, Danilo a Tubby - a z hostu Nickova sestra Millie se synem Julesem a kamaradka Pavla. Ovocny dort s horici svickou Lukaska nenadchnul. Naopak, brecel celou dobu, co jsme mu zpivali "Happy Birthday"... Mozna to nebylo o dortu, ale nasem zpevu.

Lucky turned one yesterday. I worked the whole day, so the birthday party took place the next day, on Saturday. It was a small party though, just the home team - Nick, Danilo, Tubby and I - and from the visitors Nick's sister Millie and her son Jules and my friend Pavla. Lucky didn't show any interest in his fruit cake with a lit candle. Actually, quite the opposite. He cried all through the "Happy Birthday" song. Maybe it wasn't the cake but the singing that made him cry so much.
